I started playing the standup bass at age eleven in the grade school orchestra.  At ages 12, through  15, I took bass  lessons from Harry Barnoff , who was the second chair bassist in the Cleveland orchestra.  Mr. Barnoff was a member of the Cleveland orchestra for many years and taught private bass lessons for many years as well.  I continued to play the standup bass in the high school orchestra, and in the orchestra when I was in college for a short time.

From there, a friend convinced me to start playing bass guitar when I was 18  and I have been on bass in many bands since.  For example, The High Tops,  X-Music, Rite Of Passage, The Cells, Oroboros from 1987 to 1994, Dream Circuit from 1996 to 2002, Route 66, The Baier Cellar Band from 1998 to the present, and now Crystal Ball.  I have also  done studio recordings with friends, and recordings of my own material.

Music has taken me on many journeys, both literally and figuratively, and has been an

incredible outlet  that I enjoy very much.  I truly appreciate all of the friends and fans I

have made over the years through music, and I look forward to seeing everyone dance

again !
